Comparing Your Options Selection Criteria Search for a Doctor
The doctors listed on our web site are members of the IDIA. Our members fall into two categories: specialists and the general dentists that work as a team with the specialists.

The specialists are either surgical specialists (oral surgeons and periodontists) that place the implants, or restorative/prosthetic specialists (prosthodontists) that fabricate the replacement teeth that are attached to the implants. In some cases, the implant restorative network of dentists is listed with the surgical specialists.

While we have no way of determining the level of experience of our members, you can be assured that IDIA members are committed to providing patients with comprehensive information about all of their treatment options.

If you utilize the information in the "selection criteria" section, you should be able to find the right team to provide your implant treatment. If you have several missing teeth and you do not have a general dentist, it is recommended that you first seek the advice of a prosthodontist.
